mjesečina
na dnu
prazne čaše

moonlight . . .
at the bottom
of my glass

grančica
nad mojom cipelom
stresla šumu

a twig
above  my shoe, jolted
the forest

kihnuh
na trenutak tišina
u šumi

a sneeze!
in the forest, silence . . .
for a while

u šumi
okrenuh se a bukva
maknu se

budding forest –
as I turned, the beech
moved away

Nova godina –
zapadnjak želi izdržati
malo gladi

New Year –
a Westerner's wish
to taste hunger
